State Inspection

Texas Vehicle Inspection

All Texas registered vehicles are required to receive an annual vehicle inspection. To have a Texas vehicle inspection completed it will include a comprehensive safety inspection. Additionally, some vehicles are required to have an emissions test in addition to the safety inspection.

Motorists wanting to find out how their vehicle is inspected should take a look at the user-friendly drop down menu on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s website. Choose an item of inspection and see the inspection and rejection criteria.
